Last few years I have been getting one case a month with long QT syndrome which is quite surprising.
Long QT syndrome (LQTS) is a congenital disorder characterized by a prolongation of the QT interval on electrocardiograms (ECGs) and a propensity to ventricular tachyarrhythmias, which may lead to syncope, cardiac arrest, or sudden death.
Long QT syndrome (LQTS) is a heart-signaling disorder that can cause fast, chaotic heartbeats (arrhythmias). Sudden PALPITATION
FAINTING SPELL OR FITS
CHEST FLUTTERING
LIGHTHEAD
SHORTNESS OF BREATH WITH OR W/o CHEST PAIN.
Patients are advised of lifestyle changes. These include avoidance of strenuous exercise and water sports such as swimming and diving etc. (as they raise the risk of drowning). Other sports should also be avoided in susceptible individuals as they may trigger abnormal heart rhythms.
Some foods increase the heart rate and worsen the symptoms of LQTS. These include caffeine-containing drinks like tea, coffee, fizzy drinks and high-energy drinks. These should be avoided.
Regular #ecg and 6 monthly #2dechocardiography
#homoeopathy has some amazing meds that can improve the health condition of the heart and treat acute symptoms.
#homoeopathicmedicine can also prevent risk of getting #geneticdisorder by early intervention
